Bar Decathlon
The bar decathlon is a combined event consisting of ten popular bar games. It is a self-organized tournament designed to be played with friends. The ten events that make up the decathlon are: Billiards, Darts, Bowling, Beer Pong, Shuffleboard (tabletop), Foosball, Skeeball, Pop shot, Ping Pong, and Cornhole.
Scoring
The winner of each event receives 10 points. The maximum score for an entire decathlon is 100. The way to win each event varies. These are the per event rules, house rules should be agreed upon before starting each event:
The Tournament
The ideal tournament is 20 players, 10 teams of two players each. Teams may be chosen however all players agree, but we recommend picking teams at random.
Once teams are chosen a schedule should be made. Each team competes in each event once. Matchups should be determined randomly (pick of the hat) and it is up to each team to coordinate times to play.
After completing all events, the teams with the top two scores advance to a final. In the event of a tie, the tied teams each select an event and compete based on the scoring rules until a clear winner emerges.
In the finals, each team selects a single event. The two teams compete in each event based on the scoring rules. In the event of a tie each team selects a new event and the process is repeated.
